The course was designed by Paul Rolin, a former colleague of Robert Trent Jones. In order to guarantee unbridled pleasure for every golfer, only a limited number of people are permitted to play the course each day, allowing golfers to play without disruption. With its water hazards, the Benalup golf course is a challenge for golfers of all abilities. The course is flat, however the above mentioned water hazards and strategically-positioned trees make the approaches to the large greens difficult. In total there are seven lakes that come into play on holes one, four, five, eight, nine, 13, 14 and 17. On the 13th the water hazard is directly in front of the green. Overall the course could be described as demanding. Practice facilities at the Benalup Golf & Country Club include a driving range with 13 tees, putting green and practice bunkers.

Spanish golf hero Severiano Ballesteros described the course as the best golf facility in Europe, both with regard to the quality of the course and the setting. With numerous pine trees, ancient oaks and wild olive trees, and a wide variety of wildlife, the Montenmedio Golf & Country Club course is embedded in an idyllic setting. The neighbouring nature reserve is home all year round to migratory birds making their journeys north. Overall this is an extremely impressive course, however the golfer must not allow the outstanding natural beauty to distract his attention from the challenges before him. Sloping terrain makes the game difficult, the bunkers are extremely strategically positioned, and the greens are as a rule as smooth as glass. Sophisticated and high-class atmosphere!

This course was designed by well-known golf champion Manuel Pinero. Typical for the Lomas de Sancti Petri course are the large, undulating fairways, which are harmoniously integrated into the surrounding landscape, and the numerous water hazards and natural obstacles. The contrast between the water hazards, bunkers and extensive greens, subtropical gardens, and pine forests makes every round a real experience for golfers of all handicaps. Practice facilities are located at the Novo Sancti Petri Golf Clinic and include a 9-hole pitch and putt course, a double-sided driving range with covered tees, a putting green, a chipping green, and a bunker green. A free golf clinic is available every Tuesday and Saturday at 1 p.m.!
