Par 72 / 5,856 metres playing off yellow. The Atalaya Golf Old Course is an athletic and demanding course lined with pines and eucalyptus trees spread over a hilly landscape that frequently yields fabulous views of the Mediterranean. This Bernhard von Limberger-designed course was opened in 1968 and is therefore one of the more established courses on the Costa del Sol. The Old Course is a championship course. It is laid out as a classic parkland course sown with Bermuda grass, with wide fairways and tricky greens that are guarded by well-positioned bunkers. The Atalaya Golf & Country Club is home to the headquarters of the European PGA and organises the annual Team Championship. The Atalaya Golf Old Course also has a large driving range, six short game practice zones and three putting greens. The clubhouse has typical Andalusian styling and feel and houses a restaurant and the "Ryder Cup Bar", from which guests can enjoy wonderful views of Marbella and across the Med to Gibraltar.
